Research Description: Research in my lab centers on woody growth in forest trees. Specifically, we use a variety of genetic, genomic, histological, and physiological tools to understand the genetic regulation of the vascular cambium and secondary vascular development. Most of our research is in the model trees of the genus Populus, although new research will be surveying woody growth in other taxa.
