| Research Description: |
I study the repeated evolution of phenotypic traits and the impact of those traits on biological diversity. In particular, I am interested in the evolution of sex determining mechanisms in reptiles. I use a variety of cytogenetic techniques in a phylogenetic framework and am interested in expanding and adapting the genomic and developmental biology toolkit to non-model organisms like reptiles. |
