Research Description: |
I am interested in learning how legumes altered their development to accommodate a bacterial endosymbiont. In particular, I am interested in how pre-existing developmental modules have been recruited for nodule development and how the plant uses hormonal signals (triggered by changing environmental conditions) to determine whether to form a lateral root or a symbiotic nodule. |
