Research Description: |
Our evo-devo research focus on identifying the developmental and genetic changes responsible for the inflorescence architecture evolution in dogwoods (Cornus, Cornaceae). We applied a combination of comparative approaches to the study including phylogeny, development, gene expression, transcriptome sequencing, RNA in-situ hybridization, genetic transformation, etc. We are also working on establishing a genetic transformation system for a model dogwood species using agobacteria and VIGS. |
