| Research Description: |
My research group works in the general areas of computational comparative genomics and molecular evolution, aiming to address the question, "What makes each species unique?". Generating an understanding of lineage-specific evolution is therefore the major research theme in my group. This includes both an understanding of the molecular and evolutionary processes driving lineage-specific evolution, involving the interplay between biochemistry and population genetics. This also includes comparative genomics involving changes in gene content and gene function between species. |
