Research Description: |
I'm currently starting a new lab at the SZN in Naples, Itlay, using amphioxus as a model system. My main research interest is the evo-devo field and in particular the evolution of gene families as Hox and homeobox containing genes, Tyrosine Kinase and very recently the Nitric Oxide Synthase (NOS) family evolution. Moreover I'm interested in the evolution of the chordates Nervous System and the regulation of CNS genes. |
