| Research Description: |
My interests include all aspects of biological evolution in the deep-sea, but especially the molecular ecology of invertebrates from hard-bottom and chemosynthetic habitats. I combine different molecular tools and interdisciplinary field observations to study the diversity, evolutionary history, phylogeography, population genomics and adaptation of widespread deep-sea and cold-water organisms. I also participate in various ocean exploration initiatives and conservation-oriented projects. |
