Research Description: |
Amoebae are very diverse organisms even within a single "Genus". My lab is attempting to explore this diversity and to explain why some members of this group are pathogenic and why others are not. In addition I have a company "Amoebics Ltd" which is using this huge diversity to produce anti-bacterial agents against human bacterial pathogens such as MRSA. |
